Hi there! My name is Sanne, a Dutch biologist with a fascination for nature and animals (especially the ones with six legs), and I am the face behind Insects Resurrected.It all started with my love for collecting nature’s treasures. Whenever I stumbled upon a deceased insect, I couldn’t resist preserving its beauty by carefully pinning it and adding it to my personal collection. As time went on, my home evolved into quite the insect museum, showcasing these extraordinary creatures in frames and domes.Inspired by the enchanting world withing my own walls, I decided to share my passion with others. Thus, Insects Resurrected was born. With great excitement, I now offer a selection of my insect art for sale.With Insects Resurrected I would like to share the beauty of insects. Insects are so small and yet so stunningly complex. And the variety of colours and forms is endless! Preserving insects in a dome or frame is my way to share their beauty and to emphasize the importance of insects, as they're essential to the functioning of ecosystems.Origin of the insects
The origin of the insects is very important to me. All of the specimens I use are ethically sourced. Hand-made & unique home decoration – inspired by nature
All of the pieces you see here are hand-made by me and therefore unique! I pin and frame all of the insects myself. And did you know that the fourteen-spotted ladybird is my signature? You can find one hidden in every piece I make.
